RFGM-series are medium power RF modules providing at its output high voltage of the radio-frequency range. They were designed as a part of RF power delivery system for aestetic medicine and for vacuum plasma applications.
Please note, such module is not a stand-alone solution and for proper operation it needs external sources of HV DC (for ex. PCA-series capacitor charger) and low voltage 24 V DC of appropriate powers.
Output power varies from 300W (for 81.36 MHz) to 1500W in dependence on model, output frequency is fixed (6.78, 13.56, 27.12, 40.68, 81.36 MHz or 0.5-4 MHz are available on request).
Modules are cooled with a built-in fan.
Average output power of a module can be regulated in two different ways:
- either by varying an input DC voltage (output power of RFGM module is increased with the input voltage increase)
- or by multi-kilohertz PWM of the output (set by external controlling device with Power control signal or via RS-485). The average output power in this case is linear with duty cycle.
Since the modules for aestetic medicine were designed to be integrated into secondary circuits of medical RF systems, they do not need individual certificates of compliance to medical standards, although they fully corresponds to. So, they can be used in medical systems without any modifications, any additional filtration or additional means of protection. And they could be certified by user as a part of complete system.
