1500W high power laser diode driver LDD-1500 is a series of drivers. It was designed to provide current by pulses or in continuous form to laser diodes, laser diode bars and stacks.
Several variants of LDD-1500 are offered with different maximum output power (Pmax could be 600, 1000 or 1500 W), maximum output current (Imax range is 10 … 100 A), maximum output voltage (Vmax ≤ Pmax/ Imax), selected at the moment of order. For more detailed information see user manual.
Devices are encased and easy for the user to mount, they run on common 100‑240 V AC or 200‑240 V AC 50/60 Hz. So you don’t need any extra power supply for the driver.
An output current level can be programmed in working range by user applying a DC voltage to the respective pin. Base interface to control LDD is analogue (15 Pin “D”-Sub Female). An external low voltage TTL signal from pulse generator gives precise control over pulse width, repetition rate, and duty cycle, allowing for customization to meet specific application requirements.
It is also possible to control the module through an additional external PCBs (should be purchased separately), either stand-alone (ordering code – STA) with jumpers and trimpot or driven by a computer through RS‑232 interface (ordering code – RS232).
1500W laser diode driver was designed to comply with IEC 60601-1 (safety) and IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC). Therefore, modules may be used in different kinds of medical devices without any additional filtration and safety measures, at the same time for the proven compliance to standards for a certain modification the certification procedure is need to be passed, which is available on demand.
The high power laser diode driver LDD-1500 is interesting for industrial laser systems and scientific research, where high-power pulses are essential for tasks such as material processing.

We offer these diode drivers in several modifications with different maximum output currents and voltages.
First of all maximum output power should be chosen (600, 1000 or 1500 W).
Then maximum output current should be selected in range of 10 … 100 A.
Maximal output voltage should be chosen less than Pmax / Imax.
