Download manual (0.9 MB)PDD-1600 is probably the most powerful 1600 W pulsed laser diode driver module available for aesthetic applications. It provides fast-switching, low-noise, accurate, and efficient current drive for laser diodes. PDD-1600 was developed primarily for medical aesthetic treatments, particularly hair removal, but has also found applications in other medical systems.
By default, the driver provides an average output power of up to 1600 W and a maximum peak output power of up to 10 kW (depending on the user-defined Imax and Vmax). It operates from a standard 100‑240 V AC, 50/60 Hz power supply, so no additional power supply is required. Less powerful models include PDD-300 and PDD-1000.
During operation, the output current can be set by the user within the range of 0 A to Imax by applying a DC voltage to the corresponding pin.
The module can also be controlled using an additional external remote control unit, LDD-RC, which is sold separately.
Since the driver was specially designed for hair removal applications, it is fully compliant with the latest versions of the applicable medical standards: IEC 60601-1:2005/AMD1:2012 for electrical safety and IEC 60601-1-2:2014 for EMC. Therefore, PDD-1600 can be used in medical systems without modifications, additional filtering, or additional protective measures.
