Simmer supply is a device that strikes and maintains low-current discharge in the flashlamp in order to increase its lifetime and operation stability.
SBZ-3008 simmer supply is powered from +24 V DC source. It includes all necessary circuits not only for maintaining of low-current discharge, but also for simmer ignition as well: a gas discharger for high voltage and high energy trigger pulse production and an auxiliary 1400 V open-circuit voltage supply. Ignition transformer is not included in SBZ‑3008 and sold separately.
SBZ-3008 is a powerful device, able to drive up to two typical flashlamps connected in series (please read user manual for details how to organize simmer triggering in that case). Module is cooled with an integrated fan. In case of current interruption, automatic simmer ignition restrikes with approximately 3 Hz repetition rate until the discharge is restored.
The simmer supply can be used in laser systems with serial or external triggering without any changes.
